Course Overview
EU Regulation 852/2004 Hygiene for Foodstuffs
includes a requirement that Retail make sure
that any staff who handles food are instructed and trained in Food
Hygiene in a way that is appropriate to the work
they do. This course has been designed to help hotels meet their
legal obligations by giving them and easy, flexible and cost effective
route to ensure all of their staff are trained in Food Hygiene.
After completing the online training course, the learner will sit
an online assessment and if they pass, they will receive a Certificate
in Food Safety and Hygiene for Retail. Taking
the course, and passing the assessment, meets the legal requirements
for training in Food Hygiene.
The online training course and assessment will take between 1 -
2 hours to complete and is equivalent to a full day of classroom
training. Once purchased, the course can be taken at any time, 24
hours a day, 7 days a week and the learner can pause the course
and continue at a later date.
